Can you remember a time when you stood up to someone for a family member or a friend? Maybe they were verbally threatening your friend and you wouldn’t have it anymore. We are all well aware of the negative peer pressures that we have pressing on us as adults. It is the same for our kids. Not only do we find strength in the Lord to stand up against these pressures, but we also are able to join together with our fellow Christians, our brothers and sisters in Christ, to stand up for what we know is right and of the Lord. This is what we talked about with the kids on Sunday.
Mr. Martin, Ms. Annie and their team did an exceptional job leading the class through an exciting time of worship that included songs such as, The B-I-B-L-E and an excellent version of Father Abraham! We also played a game, made scepters for our craft project, participated with hand motions during our Bible Story about Queen Esther and watched a short Veggie Tales DVD about her. Please take a minute to watch the short video clip provided below to review the defining moment in the story.
The memory verse for this week is: You have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this…Esther 4:14. As in weeks past, if the kids recite the verse on Sunday they will receive a special prize!
Next Sunday we'll be talking about how we have all been made to worship God. This will include defining each letter in the word “WORSHIP” which stands for the following: Welcome, Open, Repent, Serve, Hear, Invest and Praise. We’re excited to share this with the Kids!
Also, don’t forget to invite family, friends, neighbors, etc. to attend the Easter Service on Sunday, April 8. This is a great opportunity to reach out to someone that God has placed on your heart to come and experience an incredible morning at Elevate! We have a special morning planned for the kids in Kid’s Church as well and we are excited to welcome visitors attending with family and friends.
