Throughout November we received funds and collected items to compile 50 “Thanksgiving Boxes” for local foster families. A big thanks to everyone who contributed, shopped, packed, and distributed the turkeys, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, desserts, cranberry sauce, and rolls.
This was more than simply providing a holiday meal. This was an opportunity to respond to the James 1:27 call for all believers to care for the fatherless. By supporting those who have opened there homes to the most vulnerable in our midst, we hope to in some part ease their burden and in the process, provide an opportunity for children and families alike to experience God’s grace-filled provision through the hands of His people.
