Women's Study

june 6th @ Terri Voltz's home

"Do you ever feel as if, despite your spirituality and faith, something significant is missing? ... The natural struggle for faith in something intangible can be compounded by incorrect teachings and contradictory explanations of the workings of God in our lives. How does “free will” really work? What does it mean to ask for God’s will? When things happen in life, how do you really know whether that is God’s will? Is there really any point in praying for His will if we can’t influence it?

These haunting personal questions became the genesis of PUSH as Matthesius sought answers. Now, he unpacks the powerful biblical truths he learned―the result of deep revelation from discovering God and constantly seeking to know him with all his heart. PUSH is about helping you discover God’s dream for your life so you become the blessing you were meant to be. It is about helping you truly embrace the power of prayer and understand what that means instead of simply treating it as a platitude you offer when someone is struggling. This book will instill confidence and promote vision. PUSH will stir you to take action, to remain vigilant, and Pray Until Something Happens." (description from amazon.com)

This summer study will take place twice a month starting June 6th. Each sesson will be held at Terri Voltz's home. Contact Terri for details.

Baptism

Water baptism is the appropriate next step for a new follower of Christ. Baptism is a highly symbolic act of obedience that makes their decision to follow Christ public. We make this possible by scheduling water baptisms during our weekend gatherings throughout the year as requested. Be sure to register here.

"The Purple Book"
Experiencing Biblical Foundations
Rice Broocks & Steve Murrell

HOW DOES IT WORK? - Simply form a "group" consisting of a small group of friends, family, coach-trainee, etc. Each participant will complete one chapter (4-5 lessons) of book study on their own (including all questions and answers) and then gather with their "group" for general discussion on lesson highlights/application and prayer.

Groups work to see each group member gain confidence to lead portions of the discussion. As understanding and confidence to lead grows, each participant is encouraged to recognize future opportunities to take friends, coworkers and family through the same material for the purposes of building followers who will in turn build followers.

While the material is geared at young believers, we believe that studying foundational gospel truths with a partner or group will create moments of discussion, coaching, and growth that will inspire and prepare all involved for future discipleship opportunities.

HOW DO I START? - Elevate Church family members who want to participate in this small group discipleship process can get a book from the Coffee Counter or The LOFT at no charge. Digital copies are available to purchase HERE.

Please be sure to click on the link below to register your group. If you would like to go through The Purple Project but do not have a group, let us know as you register and we'll connect you with someone.
