Matthew 2:6; “But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers
of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.”

Through the doubt that is being cast upon Jesus the prophet cannot lie, he writes that Jesus is a
true leader and that he will lead the believers of Israel to the true path, the path that God had
chosen for them.

Even though the prophet could have been exiled or killed for speaking the truth, he did not lie. The truth he told was that Jesus will lead us to God's path. And although we may be stubborn and refuse to believe that the path He is taking us to is the right one, He is a good leader who knows the way. Accepting the way that God has chosen for us will lead to us living a much more fulfilled, happy life than the one we might have chosen for ourselves; even though at the time we thought it would give us the happiness we wanted, for we cannot see the outcome of our actions as God can.
